Nightmare on elm street collection?
I was wondering what the quality of this boxset is like?
eg.Picture, sound, extras.
I already know about the movies and I love them (except parts 2 and 6 maybe) but im wondering if the package as a whole is any good?

It's a great set if you are a fan of the series ...The A/V varies from film to film, but more or less its always solid {New Line}. As far as the extras go ... the bonus disk, "Nightmare Encyclopeda" is good, it's really comprehensive. The set also comes with a nice booklet ..plus, you get to see Freddy's Dead in 3D with the glasses heh ..IMO it's a good set, its put together nicely {packaging, content and graphics} and I cant think of much more they could give ya.

The video quality is excellent in all of them. As the series progressed, there was a vast improvement in sound. The extras are awesome. I just got my set for $57 from deepdiscountdvd.com with the %20 off code last week. They are running it again tomorrow.

I think it's safe to revisit topics that were last discussed in 2002

I own it and love it.
The bonus disc is really put together nicely. The graphics are great, but there are some annoyances. It gets tiring having to use the remote to keep slowly dredging your way along, and if you make an error it stops you back at the beginning to do it all over again. Some of the extras are pretty corny but....overall you'll have extras coming out of your ears. Great stuff. Music videos, trailers, ect.
The DVDs themselves are pretty bare alone but added together you get your money's worth.

It can be found for about $60-$70 dollars (or even less) and is worth every penny. Ahhh, disc 3 has the video for Dokken's Dream Warriors. Classic.

I love it also, and was worth every cent that I didn't spend on it. I got it for free last year through all of those free DVD sites, heh. Had I spent even $100 on it though, it would have been worth it to me.
