Anyone brave enough to pick up Destroy All monsters?

Great price, but I heard it plays like a VCD. I heard the print is somewhat nice. And it has a bonus cd soundtrak. Anyone pick it up? Opinions?

FYI: here's a review of the non-anamorphic widescreen DVD released in 2000(?)...

I've got it. It is the same disc that ADV previously released, just packaged a little differently. I don't know that I'd call the print
"somewhat nice," but it wasn't horrid.

Yes, it does play like a VCD. No chapter stops and no menu. *sigh* when are we going to get some quality Godzilla DVDs from the original series?

I've heard that when ADV put out the original DVD that Toho required it to be as bare bones as possible, because they (Toho) had not released the R2 disc yet. That ADV wouldn't do what ever was necessary to upgrade (anamorphic, 5.1, scene selection, original language w/subs) this for their "50th Anniversary Edition" is sad, and frankly, miscalculated IMO. Is there a Godzilla fan out there that wouldn't have double dipped for that?
