Is Torque a good blind buy?

Is it better than The Fast and the Furious? Is Ice Cube good in it?

Because I don't have an opinion on "movies" like this one - I only watch good movies (e.g.The Triplets Of Belleville)...

then why would you bother reply?? the OP was looking for viewers opinions..i am sure he/she could easily find the reviews you link..hell all the reviews you link in all your post in reviews and recommendations are ones that are already found, but that isn't quite the point of this forum. This actual site posts reviews for most everything a thread is written about so obviously peeps aren't looking for a wise ass jerk such as yourself to merely post a link to the very same review or other.

create an original thought..you might actually have something worth while to contribute!

So what's your opinion on the movie Scott?

I would say No, cause I didn't really enjoy it even though I liked the Fast and Furious movies.

Saw it in the theater...If you like:

1) Bad acting
2) Hot chicks in thongs
3) Cool Bikes
4) Ridiculous special effects

Then by all means go for it!!

I haven't seen it, but I was at Target today and they had a full stock of them in. An employee walked by and said "these haven't exactly been selling like hotcakes." I wonder why?? I thought it was kind of funny.

The only good thing about the DVD release is that PQ is excellent. Haven't looked closely for EE yet but based on what I casually saw, it is reference.

I just got done watching my Netflix rental and have to say it's not a "Buy." I thought it was an o.k. way to waste 1:40 minutes of my life but that's about it. On the plus side, my neighbor did pound on my door and ask me to turn it down, so that's a plus!!

"these haven't exactly been selling like hotcakes."

I wonder what people say when hotcakes sell really well?

Well, I just got done watching it. Call me crazy but my girlfriend and I found it entertaining. Shit, we like Gigli too!

I guess if I hear a movie is terrible, I have to see for myself. Most of the time, I enjoy the flick..as I did with Torque.

And to the OP, see for yourself. Give it a rent. I'll probably buy it if it comes available elsewhere in DTS.

Was it better than FATF, no... liked that much more. Ice Cube did an okay job.

The last ten minutes of the movie almost make it a buy. The end duel between the two chicks on the bikes was laugh-out-loud hilarious, and the effects used on the super-duper bike was very entertaining, including the fist fight at 200+ mph between traffic. I can't imagine the movie is meant to be taken seriously at all when people can wipe out on their bikes at over 100 mph and get right up without any sign of injury.

The visuals are amazing, but it doesn't really even entertain as an action movie. No flow or excitement to the action.

I reviewed this recently (I'm not sure if it's ok to link to my review?).

I would say - if you liked "The A-Team", then you may very well enjoy this. For me, I thought it was hammy, dull and included some strange Mr. T-ish face pulling and dialogue from Ice Cube that simply sets Torque apart from the superior The Fast And The Furious.

Definitely a rental rather than a keeper.
