DVD Talk review of 'Looney Tunes: Back in Action'
I read Aaron Beierle's DVD review of Looney Tunes: Back in Action at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=9710 and...
It was a great film, and saw it twice with the kids at the box office, because....
General Mills was giving away free kids passes to the movie, good even on opening weekend. Every brand of General Mills cereal had a free coupon in it for several months, so I'm guessing they lost at least $10 million paying customers, in lieu of this 'giveaway'

I am still very disappointed that no Joe Dante commentary accompanies this disc. And what's up the deleted scenes only accesible through the DVD-ROM weblink, ugh! WB really dropped the ball on this.

I saw deleted scenes right from the special features menu. No weblink involved.

The Special Features menu does also say "Insert this disc into you PC's DVD-ROM drive for more fun-tastic additional scenes!"
I don't know what those are as there's no way I'm going to install the InterActual player on my computer.

Finally caught this one over the weekend - and you know what? It's a pretty darn funny movie! There's so much going on in each frame of this film that you almost have to use the pause button to catch all the pop references. This reminded me a lot of Dante's "Gremlins 2", where everything and the kitchen sink was thrown at viewers.
This isn't really a kid's movie - it's a movie for fans of the classic WB cartoons, and I really, really enjoyed it.

Huge Looney Tunes fan here who thought that the movies was horrible. It felt so generic I almost walked out of the theater. Give me Roger Rabbit over this this one any day of the week. Do youreslf a favor, unless you have little ones running around the house who will enjoy it, skip it.
