Recent Total DVD Reviews inc Matrix Reloaded, Lion King

Hi Guys,
I hope this is ok, I have read the rules after finding your forums today and have already found some very interesting stuff and I intend to stay around and contribute where I can as a member.

I thought you might be interested in some reviews we have posted recently for some up coming R1 DVD's as well as some rare discs from other Regions.

First we have had an early look at The Lion King:Platinum Edition R1 two discer. The picture and sound are first rate but the extras lack those found on the LD box set, but Disneys Enhanced Home Theatre Mix is worth the ticket price alone, find out what we thought Here

Next is a first look at The Italian Job(2003) which is actually very good indeed. The cast works very well together and the action is first class, the DVD looks rather good as well, our thoughts Here

And what about something different?

You could try some of the NTSC R2 discs from Japan,
First we look at Black Hawk Down DTS Edition, this movie sounds brilliant in the DTS format with excellent packaging and specs, our thoughts Here

Anyone for some Superbits? Why not look at the recent Japanese
releases of Jurassic Park, the only superbit release of this title there will ever be, our thoughts Here
Then theres some Arnie underrated fun in Last Action Hero on a stunning disc here
Jason Statham is the Transporter in DTS-ES Here And what about Blade in DTS?Here
And who could forget the Terminator in DTS! We had an exclusive look at the japanese version Here

And finally the cult british movie which started it all for Ewan McGregor, Trainspotting Definitve Edition in DTS. This UK release is a much sought after title, our thoughts Here

I'm sorry that the post is so long, and I hope I haven't breached your rules, just had a few to catch up on. I hope these are of interest to you as they are different versions of discs(apart from first two) that many of the members may not be aware of.

Many thanks and I hope to hang around quite a bit!

Thanks for the kind words;

We now have Matrix reloaded review posted Here. The movie suffers a little in terms of pacing but the picture and sound are excellent with some missable extras.

Phil, from the FAQ:

Links to reviews written by you or written for a site you are affiliated with:
Normally, this kind of behavior will earn you a permanent suspension from our forums. Using our site for free advertising is explicitly against our forum rules. HOWEVER, the special nature of this forum has prompted us to create an exception:

If you write reviews for another site, or would like to post reviews written for your site, we ask three things.

Don't just come here to post your reviews. This is a fun place with interesting people. Take part in the community, don't just look at our members as potential affiliate fees and click throughs. If you don't care about our members, we don't care about you. Let's not waste each other's time. Thanks.

Don't do too many at once. Doing that looks like spam and will be treated accordingly.

Post a mini-summary of your review along with your link. For example:
So-so movie, better if you're really into standard romantic comedies. Video/Audio transfer is terriffic as you'd expect for a recent theatrical release, though not without a glitch here and there. Special Features are mostly filler with one really decent featurette. link
We don't expect you to give away the store, but give our members the option of deciding whether they want to read more or not.
Please understand that we appreciate the hard work that goes into creating a good DVD review, and we also understand wanting as many people as possible to read it. But a lot of work goes into making sure our members are able to enjoy these forums, and a lot of money goes into paying for this bandwidth too. We think the above is a good compromise and one that has worked here for a couple years now. Thank you for your cooperation.
