BIG JAKE with John Wayne
 

A great transfer from Paramount.
Looks like the movie came out today.
The sound is 5.1 DD, but no extras or trailer.

Not really concerned about extras for my John Wayne movies....just want an excellent transfer on dvd!!! My copy is shipping soon from Amazon along with Rio Lobo!!! :)

My copies of Big Jake and Rio Lobo arrived yesterday from Amazon. I'm hoping to put aside some time this weekend to watch them. Hoping for a nice print as well. I use to own them both on Laserdisc, and while Big Jake had a nice picture, Rio Lobo was pretty washed out.

Rio Lobo & Big Jake have pristine transfers!!!!

Trivia on the movie:
Michael Wayne, the film's producer, and John Ethan Wayne are John Wayne's sons. John Ethan was eight years old when he made the film.

Iron_Giant, don't forget Patrick Wayne, another one of JW's sons, who starred in Big Jake. He played one of his 2 grown boys (while Ethan's role was as his grandson).

The movie was a real family affair for Duke.
