Count Yorga Vampire
I watched Count Yorga Vampire yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a fun movie to watch. What really amazed me was the quality of the video transfer. I was impressed that a B movie would get such a high quality transfer. The colors looked great and the movie does not look dated at all (with the exception of the VW bus and a few mini skirts here and there hehe!). Included on the DVD was a trailer that makes obvious the amount of time spent on this transfer/restoration. Highly recomended if you are into this genre of films.

I agree. Although the quality isn't what I'd call "great", it was better than I expected. However, it is below what I expect from "A" movies on disc.
You're also right about some of the scenes. I seem to remember that some of them had better quality than others. Yet when you consider that it's a "B" picture, its age and the fact that it sells for less than $10.00, there should be no complaints. Thanks for posting this. I hope it helps someone who is considering this DVD. |
My favorite Midnite Movie from MGM.
Solid B-horror flick with some nice touches of humor too. BTW, Robert Quarry plays a perfect Count. Now if only they'd release the sequel...The Return of Count Yorga |
