Can anyone please comment on the video quality of the Blue velvet special edition DVD?

I read somewhere that the video quality is pretty bad, has something to do with a high compression, with all that extra stuff on a single disc.

It looks fine. There aren't any significant compression problems.

SE looks excellent to me, much better than any other releases of it I've seen.

What that review essentially comes down to is that the original DVD looked pretty good and this new one isn't terribly different. I'd agree with that.

There are a few nit-picky things that I wish could have been done differently, but overall it's perfectly fine.
