I know this runs against the grain, but I prefer Book of Shadows over Blair Witch. I found the story line more engaging and the acting more believable in the sequel, though neither are titles I would choose to purchase.

I doubt that you'll find anything close to a good review for Book of Shadows. I enjoyed both movies. You can pick them up dirt cheap. I think they are well worth it. But I don't know if you want to take my word because not too many people would agree.

DVD talks G. Noel Gross gave it a glowing review if I recall and I completley agree with him. The director made some bold choices and the studio made some shitty ones. Overall though I think this is an effective and worthy follow up to BW. The acting is solid and there are some legitimate scares. BWII was a victim of backlash. Underrated. The commentary track is crucial for understanding what Berlinger was going for.

Wow. I was thinking I would be the first to post that BW2 was nowhere near as bad as most people make it out to be.

The film is not without some missteps but I found it to be an effective horror film. You can find it cheap so I would also say give it a shot.

Great minds, Apocrypha, great minds. Here's my review.

And for your added amusement:
The Blair Witch Parodies
Erotic Witch Project 2: Book of Seduction
