extras are great looking from the specs. but the movie are unbearable with the exceptional 30mins scene of bombing.

great movie, great bombing. just dont listen to anybody on this site and make your own decision by renting the current version, and then if you like it, buy the vista series verison, that is what i am doing.

Rypro: If he didn't want our opinion he wouldn't have started the thread.

I think Pearl Harbor is pretty bad, but not any worse than The Rock or Armageddon or almost any other Bruckheimer movie there is. I think that the action delivers (bombing) but the rest of the movie falls flat.

You might not own their DVD's but you're a sucker for paying to watch Bruckheimer movies or wasting your time watching it. Sucker! It's funny how so many people say "Bruckheimer movies sucks" yet his movies mostly make more than a $100 million. Also all his movies when it comes out on dvd's are top sellers. I love this one guy on AICN who said something like"I just bought Armageddon because of the sound but i totally hate Bay and the movie". heheheheh

I agree. I know about 30 people who has seen the movie, and all but 1 loved it. The one who did not like it was my dad. He never watches movies. There are very view few movies he has ever liked, and he is 79 years old now.

I bought the 1st DVD a year ago and has watched it many times. I would love to watch the "New" version. I have never upgraded any of my DVDs, so I will wait for a friend to buy it, and then borrow it for a few days.

Thanks for the replies (and I apologize for not making a reply sooner).

Anyhow, I was interested more of what you thought about the features. Worth while? Yes? No? Why?

Personally, I check the 'ol noggin at the door (it's just entertainment for me).

the vista series comes out in july. the current one has a 1 hour history channel doc on the real events and what really happened, a 1 hour doc on the making of the movie, and a faith hill music video.
