Suprised at "Suckers"
 

I like to watch the blockbusters as much as anyone but I also go out of my way to find a jewel among the "B" stuff. I frequent rental joints that cater to the lesser titles just so I can look for something special.

Well I found a jewel named "Suckers"! This story is about a guy needing money working for a crooked car dealer, etc. Nothing special there but the situations and the truths and the acting job Daniel Benzali did as the lot manager made it well worth watching.

I used to sell used cars and it is all there. Everything reason I quite selling used cars is spelled out for you and all of it true. I had a manager just like the one Daniel Benzali played and this movie really made me squirm.

"Suckers": fair story, great characters, life lessons, and Daniel Benzali at his best.

i saw suckers awhile ago on HBO, i really enjoyed it. the acting is good and so are the lines. very funny movie.

but how is the dvd?

I was gonna post the link to my review but I see you beat me to the punch. Other than a weak third act this is a surprisingly good flick.

Seems it might be out of print. Amazon doesn't seem to have it in stock. Well, it's more of a rental anway.

Btw, it has what might be the most useful extra on any DVD ever: A lecture from the writer/former car salesman on how to NOT get ripped off buying a car. Unbelievable!
