I wouldn't pay too much attention to that review. If the reviewer doesn't even know that the disc is anamorphic (I own a copy, so I know this to be true), then how can you trust their other observations?
My take is that there are some noticeable problems with the source print, but nothing so distracting that it takes away from the atmosphere of the film. Also, some of the audio surround effects are somewhat unintelligible, but again, I never found myself forced to "rewind" to figure out what was going on.
All in all, this is by far one of my favorite horror movies (probably second only to the original version of The Haunting) to watch and share with friends at Halloween, and this DVD edition will do quite well until someone decides to produce a full-blown SE.
