How good of a DVD is this movie? Special Features etc? How good of a plot does it have?Worth a purchase?

...my take on the movie: eminently forgettable

...the DVD: don't know (nor, frankly, care)

...another POV of the movie: http://www-tech.mit.edu/V114/N3/gunmen.03a.html

. . . :o . . .

This one's in my "so bad, it's hilarious" pile.

It's one I've always liked for absolutely no reason. It has nothing to do with the plot (or lack thereof).

I enjoyed the film quite a bit. It's a buddy flick set in South America. Lots of swearing, comedy and nicely filmed locales. Some violence and nudity round out a good B action flick.

The only problem is that the film was shot gorgeously in 2.35:1 widescreen, but the DVD from Artisan is a very cramped pan&scan image (Damn you, Artisan! Damn you!!). I don't believe there is a widescreen version of Gunmen on video/DVD anywhere in the world. Someone please prove me wrong on this.
