Review wanted: Alfred Hitchcock, the Early Years DVD set
The 14 disc set.
I'm sure the quality isn't top notch, but how does it rate?
Thank you.

This is a collection of all the Delta/Laserlight DVDs in one box. There used to be quite a few threads discussing these, but I'm sure they're all long gone by now.
Basically, for budget, public domain DVDs they're quite good. Very watchable, but don't expect Criterion-like quality. They all have kooky introductions by Tony Curtis (who appears confused and drunk in most of them... pretty entertaining stuff). Not the best DVDs you'll ever find, but definitely worth picking up... especially when you can get the whole set for about $59 shipped at DeepDiscountDVD. That's about $4 per disc.
The films themselves are great, although some of the silent melodramas are probably for die-hard completists only.
