So where are the Gattaca reviews? I have it ordered anyway (never bought the original), but I'm just curious how good it is.

Rats!

It seems that the "making of" documentary is once again not included in the R1 release of Dracula. I'll skip the Superbit and will be buying a regular copy from overseas... I really want that documentary.

Watched it last night as my retailer streets everything early.

I did a side by side and as one would expect, there is a noticable improvement over the original release. Nice color saturation really makes the beautiful cinematography stand out.

Although this scifi flick isn't an audible feast to begin with, the sound obviously improves as well with some improved use of the surrounds.

I wish they had released an SE with extras but since they didn't, picking up the superbit was that much of an easier decision.

Time to hock the original, should have done it sooner but then I wouldn't have been able to do the side by side comparison. :D

The making of Bram Stoker's Dracula is a great documentary, and worth a view or two for sure, but I just got the superbit Dracula and it is positively stunning in every way. Shame on Columbia for going cheap on us and not giving us a two sided dual layered disc with extras on side two (and not to forget the COMMENTARY BY COPPOLA WE SHOULD HAVE GOT), but I forgive em because of the quality of the presentation.. I was especially floored by the DTS track and improved video sharpness.

If you want to be picky, spend $20 on the DVD with the documentary from amazon.co.uk or whatever (b/c you can play more than one region of discs) and buy this one too. It is REALLY worth it.

Extras mean nothing to me. I will take high bitrate and DTS sound anyday!!!!

Dracula was fantastic. Sound and video. I love that damm movie!!
