Reviews wanted: The Ruling Class & Mister Roberts

I'm already familiar with the films - this is a request for info on the extras, picture quality, etc.

Thanks

The Ruling Class

Here's a couple of reviews including DVDsavant's here at DVDtalk.

I'm very happy with the film's anamorphic transfer, though there are some noticeable specs at the beginning of the film. Other than that I thought the mono sound was fairly good. Haven't had a chance to listen to the commentary or watch Medak's home movies yet.

cheers, Tony Block

Our review of The Ruling Class went online today. I'd comment on the DVD, except it's not my review. Our critic gave it decent but pretty mediocre marks, however:

By reading your review, I have one quick question:

Does the Lemmon commentary run the length of the feature, or is it just over the opening credits?

Thanks to everyone for your input.

Regarding "Mr. Roberts", I have this DVD and I'm happy with the picture quality. The transfer is clean and colorful, and the sound quality is good, too.

There aren't tons of extras, however, there is limited commentary by Jack Lemmon on selected portions of the movie (which is breezy and fairly informative), as well as footage of the theatrical production of the play.

Considering how cheap I've seen it in stores, I think it's a good deal and well worth owning.
