Review - The Beast

Movie: (8\10) - a rare action film that is set during the Afgan war, and follows a tank and crew of a Russian T-62. After ravaging an Afgan village, the tank led by an evil commander is lost in the desert, and is soon persued by an afgan millitia seeking revenge. soon, the insane commander murders an afgan ally that is part of the crew and the tank driver(Jason Patric) becomes fed up with his ways. The Commander than leaves him out to die in the desert, and he is soon picked up by the Afgans. hungering for revenge, the driver joins the afgans in their fight to kill 'the beast'.
I was completely surprised by this title when i first saw it, after picking it up blindly at a rental store. Once you get past the fact that the russians speak in english with american accents, and its slow spots, im sure you'll find that this is a unique, entertaining picture that was unfairly forgotten on the video shelf. It's at least worth a rent.

Video: (9/10) - Damn clear transfer, one of the best i've seen.

Audio: (7/10) - Sound is pretty good, voice levels are a little low.

Extras: (3/10) - some crappy trailers for other movies

Overall: (8/10) - One of your must watch films if you are a fan of action or war films and you haven't seen this.
