What Are Some Of The Best Dvds For 5:1 Sound?

I have quite a few titles that I thought were great for sound, ie: Pink Floyds the Wall, Saving Private Ryan, Blade, The Matrix, etc.

What are some of the best in your opinion? Would like to see a nice list going....

IMAX Super Speedway. Awesome for a 5.1.

I picked up The Last Temptation of Christ: CC last night and I was pleasantly surprised by how great the 5.1 track sounded. Especially considering that the movie is mostly dialogue driven, yet the music and sound effects always seem to draw you into what's going on in the movie.

Superman is a sheer delight. i've played the opening credits at least once a week since it came out. i was seriously leary when i heard they went back and re-mix the sound, and the first time i watched i was braced for any out-of-place/over-the-top let's do it cause we can effects, but it grew on me very quickly. they really worked hard to make sure the new mix served the film and it soars. U-571 also has a great soundfield . not just the sub rattling depth charges, but the presance of minute sound inside the sub is really effective.
it's still surprising how many films you think would have killer surround tracks don't really deliver the goods.

Brief scenes....

Small bits of movies...

Test lap (Cruise intro) in Days of Thunder..
Helicopter sound at end of Se7en..

You always see the same 10-12 movies listed for the 5.1 answers and other similar requests...I am hoping to see some excerpts of certain movies that maybe do not get listed too often. Makes for a nice surprise in some of the lesser quoted films.

One I forgot about and thought was really great was Titan A.E.

And I enjoyed Stir of Echoes-especially the sound at the very end where it goes to every speaker...

That's what I'm really looking for is when there is really good use of all the speakers and the sound just seems to travel across the room...

Thanks for all the suggestions thus far!!!

Ah, then X-MEN is the title you're looking for...

Check out the parts when Professor X speaks telepathically--his voice bounces from speaker to speaker...quite engaging!
