Is it really that scary?

It scares the hell out of me but I am a sucker for good haunted house movies. In my opinion, this is one of the best haunted house movies ever made. Believe me, I have seen them all & most of them suck.

I originally saw this movie as a kid late at night on TV & thought it was very spooky. Of course the more I saw it, the less spooky it got but I still get chills in certain parts especially when I watch it in the dark late at night.

With the new generation of kids out there today, nothing seems really "scary" to them. I do not know what your taste is for horror pics or how old you are but I would at least rent it before you buy.

I have to admit, The Legend of Hell House scared the crap out of me as a kid. I saw it when it first came out in 1973 - it gave me the creeps. Its a great popcorn flick. Not a bad score, either. The opening shots of the Belasco house are truly unsettling.

I saw this movie when it first came out in the theaters. They actually gave us promotional materials to us as we went in to see the movie. I wish I still had them. The Legend of Hell House is one of the best haunted house films made. A couple of years ago I was able to locate a copy on LaserDisc. I hope they do a good job with the DVD.
Speaking of haunted house flicks. How about the best haunted house flick of all time: the original "Haunting" !!!!
When will this make it to DVD?
