The DVD is good but nothing spectacular. It's an aging release now in the year of the blockbuster DVDs.

As for the film I thought it was funny but had a serious undertone. Very British which does not appeal to everyone. With everything though too much hype can kill it but The Full Monty is a good film. It's like Waking Ned Divine you might get sour on the film by all the applause you hear before you've even seen the film, but when you watch it years later you'll probably be able to appreciate why everyone was clapping in the first place.
