picked up "xchange" with kyle mclachlan and stephen baldwin this week, and found it surprisingly good....seems like one of those "theatrical in Europe," "HBO premiere in USA" cuz while it didn't hit theaters, it has a theatrical look to it, a 110 minute running time, and it is in widescreen (alas, non-anamorphic) on the trimark dvd...the director is Allan Moyle, who made "Pump up the VOlume" and "Empire Records"...the box makes it look like a "Matrix" rip-off, but it isn't, it has its own unique, intriguing premise...not perfect, the limited budget does hamper it a bit, but I know from these forums there are those who like to find little undiscovered flicks, and this is one of those pleasant surprises...I'd rather see a flawed but ambitious 6 million dollar flick than a 100 million groaner like Red Planet anyday!...so curse me afterwards if you wish, but those looking for offbeat action movies should certainly rent this one...
