Which is better, a optical cable or a coax cable for sound? Is there a big difference between the sound of the two? Second topic, I seem to prefer the coax audio(or dolby 3/2) over dolby 5.1, does the 3/2 sound better or are my settings wrong?

Not sure about your second quetion.... All movies sound the best in DTS. But if you don't have DTS then DD5.1 will sound great as well. What is 3/2?

Coax audio and optical both gives you DD5.1/DTS!
Yes, but on my sony I have one setting for 5.1 which uses individual connections for each channel, or useing the coax for dobly 5.1. I just seem to like the coax sound, and was wondering if I just had the other settings wrong.
