I have an X410 (perhaps the rarest member of the A110 family) that still works fine. I bought it in September of 1999, and it's seen light duty. These days I use it for non-anamorphic DVDs, as well as Divx.

My 110 still works great. I replaced it a couple of years ago with a prog. scan model to go with my HDTV - so it hasn't seen much action in a couple of years. I think I bought it in '97 though, and it still works great.

My 310 is still working like a charm..

I did have to send it away after a few months of ownership, digital output needed to be re-soldered and I got a new pickup Unit and an updated firmware.. Been working great for the last year and a half.

My 310 still goes. However I noticed the other day that it can no longer play certain scenes on The Matrix. This bugs me as it played fine before. I wonder if there might be dust inside. Other than that, it works like a charm. It's outlasted any cd player that I had before hand already.

My 110 is still cranking. I had to have it fixed within the first 3 months of use but since then it's been ok.

Although, It did skip on THE MATRIX dvd a few times after.

My 101 is still working after almost three years, though I have not used it much because I only get to watch movies in the family room when my parents aren't home, usually on weekends. They just couldn't stand the loudness of my dolby digital home theater system . I use my Pioneer player in my bedroom more.

Your A120 still works because there's no flaws with that model. It's only the A105/A110/A310/H1000 and some Denon players that used the same optical pickup. Even the first generation A100 and A300 are fine, although because of the age may have a few compatibility issues.

I've had my A110 for 2.5 years now. I use it a ton, almost every day and haven't had any big problems. Got lucky from the sounds of it.

My 310 just died a week and a half ago. It saw decent useage for almost 2 years, but its not getting fixed or replaced until the new Krell with 1080p comes out. I will just borrow one of the Sony 9000's from work in the meanwhile...

My 310's fine except that it's gotten a more noticible pause during layer changes. And occasionally it does a weird thing where if there's a sudden increase in brightness (ie flash or explosion) it looks like the scan lines spit apart or something.

My A110 - Lucky!

Bought mine in Oct. 1998 & still going strong - played nearly 200 DVDs so far. Just waiting for the day I turn it on and it doesn't!

My 310 bought in May '98 still works perfectly fine under heavy usage (almost every single day), no repairs, no upgrades.
