could someone recommend me a website to search for prices on a DVD player?

Is mysimon the best one? I would like to see I can get more results.

If you know what model you are looking for, you can try going to http://www.northernlight.com (a search engine), enter the model, in quotes and not in quotes (e.g. Toshiba SD-1600 and "Toshiba SD-1600"), then go to five or ten of the sites that come up, see what they have.

As far as price search engines (except for DVDs), I use mysimon or northernlight.
