have you ever used online auctions to buy used home theater equipment, specifically receivers?
which ones?
were you pleased?
is it worth it to pay about 2x or 3x as much for a new receiver?

I haven't bought receivers using online auctions but I did buy my surround sound speakers on eBay. HiFi.com sells their factory refurbished speakers on eBay. Since they offer a 45 day return on all their products they sell the returned ones for sale online at eBay. It can be a very good deal if your looking for Cambridge Soundworks at discount. The set I got were as good as new and come with their full 10yr warranty.
