pioneer 434 flicker

Does anyone have this model hooked up to a digital television and have problems with flicker before the start of a chapter or the feature. Once it starts its fine.

i have the 434 hooked up to a HDTV, and i know what your talking about. my instructions say its normal if the DVD player is in progressive mode for it to flicker when changing between the menu and the feature.

That's probably the result of having it set to auto-progressive. I just hooked one up to my dad's HDTV yesterday.
Auto-progressive plays all menus in interlace mode but switches to progressive for the feature.
