I have the Toshiba SD2200 and it has Built-In Dolby® Digital Decoding with 5.1 Channel Analog Outputs, but DTS® Compatible. My reciever has a dts decoder, do I need to get a new dvd player to hear dts..

No, your receiver will handle the DTS decoding.

If it has the DTS logo on it you can use the DVD player. Be sure to use the digital out of the player(coax or digital) and not the the analog. The analog will not give you DTS.

With your setup all you need is to hook up the digital (Optical or Coaxial) from the DVD player to the receiver and the receiver willdecode both the Dolby Digital & DTS bitstreams (no need to use the 5.1 analog outputs of the DVD player). You also will get better performance from the decoder in the receiver then the DVD player!
