HI!

I have recently got a Pionner DV-434 and I have some problems (a big problem) with this unit.

When I watch a movie sometime during a movie (even with audio CD) the player crash. Just before it crash, a message appear on the unit: CPU ERROR. After that the screen turn black and the unit is not responding, my disc is stuck in the unit and I cannot even turn the unit off. A message is flashing on the unit: FLASH WRP. After a couple of minutes (sometime 20min.) the unit get back to normal.

I would like to know, should I return the unit, is anyone had this kind of problem with this player?

Thank you!

You've got a bad unit. We had one of these players in our lab, played all sorts of discs with none of the problems you listed above.

I have a Pioneer dv-434 and have nothing but exellent results with it. It dont matter to me if its really progressive scan or not, its no good anyway if you dont have a progressive scan capable tv.

I dont think its region free. If it is.. that would be cool.
My player has a big region 1 symbol on the back.
