I'd like to find somthing that plays DTS and Dolby Digital and has no known bugs. I don't want to pay that much but want a quality DVD player. Any suggestions?

Currently have the Apex 600A with loopholes but it won't play Terminator 2 UE because of the seamless branching and I am looking for a good alternative. Thanks.

No such player -- they all have at least one bug, or will someday, but most of them are so obscure you'll never encounter a problem. Sony has a pretty good track record. If you skimp on a player, you're more likely to encounter problems. You can try searching the net for a glitch list, or page through audioreview.com, and see what other people have found to be reliable.

Q-Dog,

I just replied to another thread about cheap DVD players with the same answer, the Pioneer DV-333. Great player for the money. It has component out, plays CDR discs, and is really nice (execept for the remote).

Happy Hunting.

I just found out that the Panasonic RV30 does not have Digital Coax Outputs, it only has the optical digital Output. Looks like that one is out of the running. The Pioneer DV333 is $169, but with the $50 rebate going around, looks like I can get the Sony 360 for $135. Making it the best deal out there...Any others I am missing...

I would go with either the Pioneer or the Sony. Both excellent brands.:)

You can pick up entry line Toshiba's for $180-$200, I have an SD2109 and have no complaints - it will do everything you need (DTS, DD etc, etc.....)
