I have been doing some research on dvd players for the past few months. I haven't been able to find a store that carries this model so I am looking for opinions.

I notice it supports SACD and some SACD players cost at much or even more than this player.

I am also considering just getting low-end model (<$200), until I get some feedback on the player.

This is an excellent, though not the best, DVD player. (Better ones may cost 2 to 5 times its price) I've had it for about 3 months now and absolutely love it! It is a Sony ES product which means it has a 5-year warranty. It comes with 2 free DVD's (Men in Black:CE and the AVIA disc) and an SACD sampler. It is a top-notch CD player and you get a free SACD player to boot. I bought it strictly for it's progressive scan DVD playback, but have come to appreciate it's many other features the more I use it. Movies like Gladiator or Toy Story 2 look awesome played back on this unit with my Elite 16x9 HDTV. It has alot of custom features too. You can tweak the picture quality for about 250 movies as well as add your own title names for 250 CDs or DVDs. This is all stored in its disc memory. It has 6 tweakable picture parameters, a very nice graphical menu and a great remote with a jog/shuttle.
I believe you can buy it for around $1100. Try a dealer like OneCall (800-340-4770).
