Phillips DVD players

Greetings all, I was considering purchasing a Phillips player and was wondering if anyone had any problems with them or if anyone wanted to share anything positive about them. Thanks.

I know a few people that have had them and they were pretty unhappy with them.

I cant' really speak about the current Philips players out now, but I've had one for almost 3 years and never had a problem. I'm only upgrading now because mine is from before there were DTS compatible players and I now want one that is DTS compatible. I almost hate to upgrade since my player works perfectly fine. In all the years I had it I only had problems with two titles not playing correctly.
