Since I have to switch room quite a bit, I try to stay as mobile as possbile. I'm not too fond of playing DVDs off my laptop. so I'm thinking about getting the AIWA XDDV170. It's on sale at CC, and it's advertised as being a DVD player for your car, but I'm wondering if it's made to be used sparingly on car trips, or can it stand up to regular use. Anyone in the know?

Don't know about the Aiwa but I've had my Panasonic L50 for almost a year know and it gets used a few hours a day at work and fairly frequently on long car trips and I have yet to encounter any problems (knock wood).
