Okay, I got a flier from Radio Shack in the mail. In it, there was the STAV-3870 receiver by RCA listed (shown here on their webpage: RCA STAV-3870.

Now, my question is, this thing looks exactly like my Pioneer VSX D409 receiver. Am I missing something (are RCA and Pioneer the same company)?

I noticed that too when I was looking at a Pioneer 504 (model ?) about a year ago and it looked exactly like the radioshack models. I asked the salesman and he said they were made by the same company. I'd really like to know who owns who in this one?

It was a deal Pioneer did with Radio Shack. It is also in the HTP pack with five speakers that are the same as Pioneer's. I dont think the deal is on any more though.
