I am looking at purchasing the Sony DAV-S300 system and I am wondering what people think of it. This system would go in my bedroom which is not very large. I like the fact that the receiver and player are one unit.

Has anyone had any experience with this system?

Thanks!!

Got mine in May - it's a great little system for a bedroom. Highly recommended.

I just got one, It is really great. It got DTS and everything u need.

even though i placed it in my "in my bedroom which is not very large", I found that it is powerful even for large living rooms.

I highly recommend it too..

Great for a bedroom. VERY underpowered for anything else (30WPC at 10%(!) THD). I own it and am happy with it, but would compare it to other all-in-ones from Panasonic and JVC.

I personally would recommend the competing Panasonic or even Kenwood respected Home Theater in a box (package missing DVD player). The Sony has an incredible distortion rating (THD) (10%!) which will severely distort and hamper audio playback. Even cheep consumer receivers rarely have THD numbers higher than 0.5% and this particular Sony is one of the worst. That being said the DVD playback is solid as is the attractiveness of the system. In my opinion if you look a bit more you might see some even more attractive options.
