I'm considering selling my Bose Lifestyle 25 system and getting:
*Jamo Home Cinema satelite system
*Onkyo DR90 Reciever/DVD player
OR** Onkyo TXDS575x Receiver

1)This will sound better than my current bose, correct? (I will finally be able to hear DTS!)

I haven't found the Jamo's in any stores near me so I could listen to them, and am open to other receiver options too. Anyone have Opinions on either of these (or others)? I'm looking to spend $1500 on my entire system. Thanks,

Would the Energy Take 5s be a better sounding system than the Jamo?

I would advise against spending $1500 on speakers you won't be able to audition in person. Either that or get a favorable return policy (you pay shipping in 1 direction maximum).

You simply cannot rely on other people's opinions on something this critical, and something for which everyone's opinions vary widely.

I've heard Jamos briefly, but not the system you're thinking about getting.

I agree with stevevt. Speaker sound is so objective. I personally would never buy a speaker without hearing it or based on someones opinion. You want to make sure you are completely satisfied when you spend $1500.

I agree that I need to listen before I buy. I was just curious as to what others thought of this set-up. If favorable I will make sure I find them somewhere so I can listen. Or if others think that I can get a better system in buying something else, I'll find somewhere to give that a test drive. Thanks.
