hello all..
i just purchased a tv/capture card for my computer.. i was wondering if it is possible to splice my cable wire from the wall (a Y adapter of some sort?) so i can run wire to the modem and one into the card.. is this possible? i would prefer to do it at the end of the long cable from the wall, rather than having it split at the wall..

just didn't know if it was possible to split a signal to a modem and for tv use.. can i just get an adapter like this at radio shack? hope i'm making sense here..

Yes it is possible, however you can't just use a splitter. You need a device called a tap. You can get this by calling your cable company and they will drop one off for you or I think Radio Shack sells them as well, but good luck asking someone at Radio Shack what a cable tap is and if they have one.
