Man, I lost my o;d Panasonic A100 in a fall during a move. I have $150 to spend.
I've looked around, and up till now, no known 'great buys'.
I have been an Apex basher for quite some time, but all of my "New to DVD" frinds are buying the 5 disc model and the 660 or 600A.
No complaints..yet.
I have also seen those KLH models at best Buy..any good?
Does anyone have a link to a good player review site?
Any ideas ona good $150 DVD player?

I can tell you DO NOT BUY THE KLH PLAYER FROM BEST BUY! I tried two of these pieces of s hit , even for the $75 that they cost at the time, and returned them.
I did buy an Apex 600A and it's actually ok (use it as a secondary player), but I wouldn't advocate it for everyday use. I also got a Toshiba SD-1600 which is good for everyday use, and then some. Look around. Mine cost $143 at Mercata and they're going out of business now. Check it out.

You might be able to find the Pioneer DV333 for that price or perhaps the Panasonic RV30. Take a look online and search the forums at www.fatwallet.com they might have som good deals.

Try bidding on a Samsung or Sharp at www.ubid.com instead, otherwise, I suggest the Raite. I have it and have had no problems.

Any word on GE,Sanyo,Memorex,etc??<HR>
Far as I know, Raite never disabled the region-free secret remote combination. Ubid had the Raites frequently a couple of months ago for about $140, but I haven't checked lately. Fry's Electronics (B&M) also occasionally has them.
This is the definitive unofficial Raite info site:

Good luck!
