i'm looking to buy a dvd changer...
looked at pioneer DV-F727; and liked it over the sony CX850D.
any suggestions on which item's better, and where i could find a more reasonable price?
the best prices i found were $600 and $400 respectively.

I personally don't have either one or even a 5 changer. What I do know is that for me at least Sony has been great. Two very good friends of mine both bought the 850 due to my not having any problems with my 2 Sony DVD players.

Some people say Pioneer is good. I run nothing but Sony and have had -0- problems.

Just my .02

I recently purchased two sony dvp-cx870s, each with 300 dvd disk capacities. supposedly they could be daisy chained. uh oh, cant do that. can only daisy chain one dvd player with sonys cd mega players. sony player has numerous extras like angle displays. However, the interface for adding dvd was a bit cumbersome and the actual video picture was grainy when compared to the sony s7000. due to the inability to daisy chain I took the units back and i am waiting for two Pioneer DVF07s (upgrade from the 727)

I just got the Toshiba SD-4205 (5-Disc Changer). I truly love this player. It plays all CD-Rs including 80Min CD-Rs and CD-RWs as well as VCDs (and CD-R VCDs) as well as HDCDs.

Not a bad price either. You can typically get it for around $350.

I have the Pioneer and I love it. I'd recommend it to anyone with a large collection. If you have any questions about it email me or post I'll try to answer them.
