Panasonic DMR-EH6B Multi System Multizone DVD recorder?

Will this play in the USA without problems?

It doesn't have an NTSC tuner(which doesn't matter for me) .

As long as it has two or three AUX in that should be good enough.

Not sure if this has a jukebox. Most similar Pioneer models do have them.

It has a pretty larger HDD which is one reason too have it.

Bottom line, because it's Multizone that shouldn't be a problem. PAL discs will only play with a video converter or Multizone TV.

Have a link?
What is it you want to do?

I'm assuming you're in the US and want this for DVD recording and the HDD because they're no longer sold in US.
First, make sure you can plug it in.
It won't do PAL>NTSC conversion. Won't be able to watch PAL discs or burn NTSC copy of a PAL disc.
DVD burners are PAL/NTSC neutral. They burn in same format as the signal sent to them.
You should be able to input any NTSC device into the aux inputs and burn a NTSC disc from those devices. Cable box, sat receiver, DVD player, BD player(through composite), streaming devices. Anything with the red, white, yellow composite outputs.
I doubt the recorder has an HDMI input. If it does the recorder probably won't record from that input. The input is just for passing the signal for tv watching or recording to the HDD. The burner won't burn signal from HDMI, you'll get a "cannot copy" message. I'm not sure if recording to the HDD first, then dubbing to disc will work either. The copy protection signal that's piggybacked will probably still be there.

Re: Panasonic DMR-EH6B Multi System Multizone DVD recorder?

I ordered instead some older DVD Pioneer Recorders from ebay Pioneer DVR-640 H. I bought one about 15 years ago from Sears and it still works so I bought three more(they work like brand new) and have then hooked up to my other three TV's.

They all have jukeboxes and can DVD-R/DVD+R/DVD-R DL record up to 10 hours.

It's a shame that stopped making these dvd recorders besides the fact that it's only SD.

I have one of those Pioneer DVD recorders in the closet somewhere. Do you have any idea of what they generally go for on eBay these days?

The last time I looked they had one remaining with a dim front panel(means really nothing) and I think it's going for 175 dollars. I paid that much for my last one and slightly more for the other 2 who didn't have that problem.

For all what these can do it is well worth the money because chance's are we will never see anything like these ever again(especially new and from Pioneer).

I think Magnavox was the latest to have DVD recorders on the USA market and it was Mission Impossible to try to figure out how to record DVD-r's but the HDD worked fine.

Re: Panasonic DMR-EH6B Multi System Multizone DVD recorder?

They definitely offered nice functionality and were quite useful before digital tools became prevalent. I lost the DVD burning bug when I upgraded a TIVO's hard drive size, now I just keep anything I want stored on it. There are ways to digitally extract the data from a TIVO, but I've put that off so far.

My recorder burned hundreds of DVD-Rs and never gave me a problem.

Re: Panasonic DMR-EH6B Multi System Multizone DVD recorder?

I have just begun using DVD+R DL discs with a few problems so far. Maybe because they are Kodak brand and Amazon was playing catch with both packages I received. I did get 15 dollars credit the first time and 20 dollars credit the second time. Maybe I wlll try another brand the next time but Kodak was the cheapest.

I think DVD still out sells Blu-ray so it is far from a dead format.
