I purchased my first HK product back in '96. It was the AVR25II (Pro-Logic) with some cheaper Infinity speakers. I had never listened to a Dolby Digital system before I got the AVR510 because i was satisfied with what I had in the AVR25.
What changed my mind was when I purchased the HK DVD player, it's remote would change the modes on the AVR25. Dissapointed I called HK to see if I could get the DVD player's remote command frequencies changed, but no luck. He said that HK didn't think that someone would be trying to use their DVD in conjuntion with that old of an A/V reciever. I told the HK guy that if he couldn't help me out that I was gonna take the DVD player back and purchase a Sony.
Needless to say he put a call in to corporate and they let me have the AVR510 for $524.90 I think that's one heck of a deal! And the best part was 2 weeks ago someone actually gave me $450 for the AVR25. So that means that my big upgrade didn't cost me but $44.90.
