I recently bought a JVC K503TN dvd player and i'm happy with the picture quality and sound, but i mainly bought it because it had a karaoke feature and it played VCD's. The only the things that really concern me are how much i paid for it (which was 599 dollars) and why it doesn't play cdr's or photo disc's? Isn't that a standard of some sort? Neways...could someone please tell me how i could get that fixed...maybe through a mod-chip or upgrade of some sort. I would greatly appreaciate any input anyone can give on this topic.

Also i recently bought a Jackie Chan Dvd at Best BUy. The only thing that makes it different from other DVd's is that it's double sided because it has two movies on the actual DVD. Is this a hardware failure, or is the region code on the Dvd wrong? The only weird thing about the region code is that well why would they sell it at Best Buy if the region code was actualy wrong for my Dvd player..

Does BEst Buy allow resturns of non working Dvd's?

Please help me
