I just got the Toshiba SD 2150. The SD 2200 has a built in dolby digital decoder. I am currently just using a 27 inch Panasonic with no receiver. Would spending the extra 100 for 2200 make a large sound difference for my setup? Thanks.

It wouldn't improve anything now, but it would give you the option to upgrade in the future if you want to.

No! Just buy a reciever with the decoder built in. Almost all new recievers have the decoder built in them. Therefore the decoder built in the DVD Player is useless. Both units will sound the same with your TV.
