I bought a all together system HT system from Kenwood.

Came with everything and the subwoofer. Well in the manual it says to plug the subwoofer into the reciever using a regular plug(like a audio cable) but my sub has only speaker wire plug ins? I dont understand how to add my sub into the reciever.

Very much a HT Newbie. Please help!

I would run your main speaker wires into the sub then the sub should have outputs to go to your main speakers(the two front speakers http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/smile.gif )the sub will then pass the sound to the main speakers minus the low sounds put out by the sub. I hope this helps.

The system comes with the sub with no line-level input, but the manual says to use the subwoofers line-level inputs? WTF? "Load HTIB", anyone?

I do believe this is the box system that has a subwoofer that isn't powered. My friend had one of these and the sub was worthless, you couldn't even tell it was doing anything.
