IR blaster recommendation for Vizio TV?

Picked up a Vizio E480i-B2 TV recently and we aren't able to get a response from it from certain angles and distances with either the included remote or our Harmony One. The sensor on these models is in a very inconvenient place.

The set doesn't have an IR jack, so are there any solutions that don't involve a 3.5mm plug?

Any IR solution with 3.5mm plugs has blinkers that can plug into that connection, rather than needing an actual jack on the device. The blinkers get taped over the sensor so it shines more directly on it. There's a PowerArt IR extender system on Amazon for under $7 with 4 star rating. Never used it myself, but probably would work for one device.
