I am looking for a receiver with 2 coax digital inputs. I have a Toshiba SD1600 and Explorer 2000 cable box that both have Coaxial Digital Outs.
I was going to go with the VSX-509S, but it only has 1 digital out and 2 optical outs. You can see I am skimping here with the ~~$250 budget... Anyone provide info on a receiver that has at least 2 digital outs and 100W/channel??? thanks southpaw2k |
I picked up the Sony 820 HTB set which I believe has 2 coax inputs, one labeled DVD, the other labeled CABLE but I'd imagine it can use anything. The whol thing with speakers was under $500, so a comparable Sony receiver may still be in your price range.

i have a sherwood receiver from 800.com which was 300 with 2 coaxial inputs. it was the rvd-9090r. i believe they have another receiver in the same price range. a coupon would help bring down the cost.

BEST RECIEVER IMHO for your situation is the Kenwood VR407 i got at ONECALL.COM for $243.00 after calling their 1-800 number! comes with 100x5 watts of power, DTS/DD decoding, 6 svideo inputs (svideo switching), and FOUR digital inputs (2 coax, 2 optical)
Great price for a great reciever. Cant beat it in the price range |
