Does anyone here know the main performance differences between Pioneer Elite HDTV and regular Pioneer HDTV? Beside that high gloss piano look of those Elites, Is the Elite much better in video PERFORMANCE?

Elite is much better when broadcast, cable, or satellite is the source due to its superior line doubler. Progressive DVD and HDTV input does not use the line doubler. The doubler is so good that there may not be much, if any, improvement going from interlaced to progressive DVD input.
So it really comes down to what you will be viewing. Also, you might want to verify the dot pitches on the two sets. Elite is .52, I don't know about non-Elite.

So you're saying the Non-Elite does not have the Line doubler?

What is this pitch? Is the smaller the better?
Thanks
