Need help choosing the new tv.

I'm buying a tv these days, mainly for watching movies both in 2d and 3d.
I've been looking into the Samsung UE40F8000 (maybe even UE46F8000, depending on my finances on the day of buying) and Panasonic TX-P42GT60.

What do you think would be a better buy?
THx for your reply.

I can't speak to those exact models but I have a Samsung and Panny plasma --- both are excellent. If I had to choose I'd go with the Panasonic.

Can you still find a Panasonic plasma?

I've been really happy with my Samsung. It's a full array LED tv with a really good picture to it. The speakers themselves leave a bit to be desired, but that's not a problem if you have a surround system.

If you can't find a Panasonic plasma then get a Samsung plasma. Plasma all the way.

Samsung are the only plasma choice left

Probably not would be my guess. And if you can, it's be pricey.

Plasma is the way to go. I have two Panasonic plasmas and love them, but they are now hard to find. Or you are paying premium price.

But there are good reviews on Samsung plasma, here is one

For electronics especially Home Theaters, TV or LED, I would always go for Samsung. The price might be a bit higher compared to other brands but definitely a good choice.
