Would like review of Sony STRDE845 Receiver

Hi, I would like a review of the Sony STRDE845 Receiver from somebody who actually owns one. Does it sound good, give me the good and the bad, I just ordered one tonight from 800.com. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Don't you think that it would have been a good idea to ask for reviews and opinions BEFORE you ordered it? All that matters now is what you think. Try it out for yourself.

You should have read the reviews over at Audio Review and look for that particular Sony receiver. It doesn't get great ratings because of reliability problems, but maybe you'll have no problems with yours.

I have had absolutely no problems with mine. It's a powerful receiver with many sound fields and set-up options. I don't like the glowing remote though because you can't read the buttons in the dark! But I think it now comes with a newer remote that doesn't have that problem. I would probably buy a Yamaha over a Sony next time though because I have been told by many people they are higher quality and have less distortion (not including sony ES line). Good luck and enjoy!!

Thanks for the advice Patman, I added the AudioReview site to my favorites section and thanks for giving me your review for the receiver ECydeDave. Just so guys know, I did do a little research on the receiver before I purchased it, I just wanted to hear some reviews of it from the people on this forum. Thanks again.
