Oh good God! Don't trade your Denon for a Sony (my opinion). I'm actually about to step up to my third Denon. I started with an AVR-2700, went to an AVR-2800 to get DTS and am about to sell that to get an AVR-3801. This is just my opinion but I think Denon makes some really excellent sounding receivers and I doubt the quality of the STR-DE935 comes close (the ES line I'm sure is another story).

I guess the question is are you willing to trade a better receiver for one that is a step down to get the dts capability?i would not but you may.

Keep the Denon and get an external DTS decoder. I'm willing to bet that Denon makes one.
Your current receiver is of MUCH higher quality than the Sony.

Hiya, I dont know about the Denon(never owned one), but I do own the sony model in question. I have heard negative things about this series for over a year now(roughly how long I have had my reciever). I use it roughly 4-5 hours a day and have never had any problems out of it. Anyways, just wanted to toss in a vote for the sony, since this poor series gets bashed so often!
