I just reset my Panasonic A110 to factory settings. Can not find my owners manual, and need to set my audio out setting for the DVD player. I don't remember what they were.My DVD player is connected to the receiver with optical cable. The receiver decodes DD and DTS.The following are my choices via the DVD players menue.

LPCM (DVD)- off or pcm
Dolby Digital- pcm or bitstream
DTS- off or bitstream

Thanks Jim

Leave PCM off and turn Dolby Digital and DTS to bitstream.

PCM is an uncompressed digital stereo signal. It transfers at approx. 1.4Mbps, more than a full-rate DTS signal. It gives very good sound. I forget what L stands for though.

I beleive it's Linear Pulse Code Modulation. http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/smile.gif http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
